TONS TO DO IN THE CITY THIS MONTH!
More music and performance than you can shake a stick at - Pet Shop Boys, Paul Weller, Marc Almond, Richard Hawley, Mike Scott and the Waterboys, Spiritualized - the British invasion of Valencia! For Opera buffs there's Carmen at the Palau de les Arts this month. For classical music fans, there's a series of great concerts at the Palau de la Musica, some even free! Cinema Buffs will love the Mostra de Valencia - Mediterranean film festival. Love theatre? Then there is the Café Theatre Circuit. Love musical comedy acts? Les Luthiers, A highly original and entertaining Argentinian group hit town for a week

VALENCIA DAY AND FIREWORKS
October 9 is Valencia day, a bank holiday. Lots of celebrations throughout the city including, if you're a VIP, the President's Party in Plaza Manises. Midnight on the 8th it all start off with, guess what? Fireworks, in the Alameda - a firework festival and one of the best displays of the year.

On the 9th there are Mascletas and Parades. read more here.
